Ashes. Pancakes. Conversations.

Yes, Lent begins next week!

Make plans to join our Ash Wednesday worship gathering. That’s a meaningful time for a lot of us. It reminds us of our need for a Savior and that we are dust. We’ll gather Wednesday, March 2nd at 7pm in the sanctuary and online. If you aren’t sure why we use ashes, here’s a helpful video to watch.

Also, consider this idea. Let’s support our friends at St. John’s UMC. They host a Shrove Tuesday pancake supper. What if a bunch of us from Kelsey showed up to break bread (pancakes) with them?

And don’t forget about our Conversations in Prayer. Every Sunday in Lent at 5:30, we’ll gather for an important faith talk. Romans 12 will guide us every week. This isn’t exactly a Bible study. Normally, you sit and listen to someone lead a study. We’re aiming for you to share your insights along the way. These should be great times of fellowship and learning.

So, remember three things:

  • Ashes
  • Pancakes
  • Conversations
