A Triple-Digit Mission
We decided one of our church goals would be to return to triple-digit worship attendance on Sundays. Right now, we average just over 90 people every Sunday in the sanctuary. Considering all we’ve been through over the last few years, that’s a great number!
But it’s exciting to think about inviting new people to Kelsey.
So, we’re encouraging everyone to help us get to triple digits. Not just for one Sunday here and there, but for every weekend. It’s a blessing to see the sanctuary full and to hear the voices join in singing. It also means more smiles.
Now, a lot of us might not think we can help. We’re not so sure we know how to invite people to church. Well, we’ve put together a quick list of ideas that you can use. Pick one or two and give it a try:
- Personal Invitation: “Hey, would you like to join me at church this Sunday? We have a great community and I think you’d enjoy it.”
- Social Media Invite: Post a friendly invitation on social media: “Excited for our service this weekend! If anyone wants to come along, let me know—you’re always welcome!“
- Event Invitation: Invite someone to a special event or service: “We’re having a VBS event this weekend. It would be great if you could join us!“
- Share a Church Post: Share a church event or service announcement from the church’s social media page and add a personal note: “This is my church and I love it. Come check it out with me this Sunday!“
- Casual Conversation: Mention it in casual conversation: “I’ve been going to this great church, and I think you’d really like it. Would you want to come with me sometime?“
Of course, we thank God for those who are able to join us for worship online. Figuring out exactly how many people tune in every week is a little tricky. So, that’ll be something we focus on next.
