What is the Bible?

Are you ready to start reading the Bible with us?

Our year-long reading plan begins in just a couple of days.  Make sure to check back here frequently to get thoughts, questions and ideas from each day’s readings from Pastor John.

Here’s a great video to watch as you get ready to dive into the world of the Bible.

Happy reading!

The year of the Bible!

I am excited about incorporating The Bible Project at our church!

I remember the first time a Bible story “jumped out” at me. It was Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son. I had read it before, but this time something happened. As I read, I noticed specific points of the younger son’s experience that seemed a lot like mine. That day I read the Bible differently. It wasn’t just the Bible; it was God’s word. Now, all this happened before I started preaching. Yes, I was a normal church member—just like you. When I began reading the Bible differently God began showing me new things and leading me to what he wanted me to do.

That’s why I am extremely excited about 2018 because we’re making it The Year of the Bible. We are hosting an all-church Bible reading plan that will take us all through the Bible. Our weekly sermons and sermon follow ups will be based on our reading. We’ll be using resources from The Bible Project to illustrate everything the Bible is. I’m convinced the Bible is about to come alive to a lot of people in our church. You’re going to be able to read the Bible in a new way. And, who knows what God is ready to show you!

Stay blessed…john
