We’re Looking for People Who Eat
Dinner church is what church used to be. If you’re interested in learning more about what Dinner Church is and how it works for God’s glory, make plans to join us Tuesday, November 12 at 6:30 at Pastor Fletcher’s home. We’ll meet at 6:30pm.
Please RSVP by Sunday, November 10th.
The reality is there is a multitude of people who will never attend a Sunday morning worship service. There are good reasons and not-so-good reasons they will not. What if there was still a way to connect those people to Jesus?
Would you be interested in making that happen?
For a long time, the church’s worship was not centered in a church sanctuary. Christians gathered and invited others to gather with them in homes to pray, hear God’s word and share in meal, the Lord’s Supper being a part of the regular meal. Christians relied on their faith in God’s Spirit and used their connections to build the Church.
We want to try to do the same thing!
It starts with this question, “Do you know anyone that eats dinner?” We’re looking for a team of Kelseyites to lead the way to introduce Dinner Church to our community.
What happens at Dinner Church? Simple. People connect with each other and connect with God. Through establishing and nurturing relationships, worship happens at Dinner Church and new people come to know Christ as Lord.
If you have a passion for people to know Christ and would like information about this new worship service, let Pastor John know. Here’s a final thought to consider from Tim Chester: Jesus didn’t run projects, establish ministries, or put on events. He ate meals.
