BELLS Missional Habits
This year’s Summer Sermon Series is titled The Art of Friendship.
We’ll rediscover important aspects of being good friends. And we won’t forget what it means to be a friend of God.
As a way to encourage everyone to delve into our topic, we’re introducing the BELLS missional habits. These come from a great little book Surprise the World. Each habit helps you make Kelsey known as a loving church so God can be known as a loving God!
BLESS | Generous (e.g. through service, encouragement, etc.) | I will bless 3 people each week, at least one of whom is not a member of our church |
EAT | Hospitality, (e.g. sharing your table, or at a café) | I will eat with 3 people each week, at least one of whom is not a member of our church |
LISTEN | Spirit-led (i.e. open to God’s wisdom) | I will spend at least 1 time per week of Bible reading & prayer and will “listen” to God |
LEARN | Christ-like (i.e. knowing what God has done for us in Jesus Christ) | I will read a chapter (or more) of the Bible daily. |
SENT | Mission-minded (i.e. understanding we are living as God’s “ambassadors”) | I will journal about the ways I alerted others to the love and grace of God through Christ |
See you Sunday!
