Blessing of the Backpacks 2025
As the new school year begins, we want to surround our students, teachers, and school staff with prayer and encouragement. Join us on Sunday, August 10 during worship for our Blessing of the Backpacks. It’s a special moment where we’ll pray over everyone heading back to school and remind them they are loved, supported and never alone.
We invite all students of every age to bring their backpacks, and educators to bring a symbol of their work—whether that’s a bag, planner, or simply themselves! During the service, we’ll offer a blessing and a small gift as a reminder that God’s presence goes with us into every classroom, hallway and bus ride.
This is a meaningful opportunity to mark the start of a new season with faith and community. Whether you’re heading into Pre-K or college, teaching in a classroom or supporting from behind the scenes, we want to pray with you.
Everyone is welcome. Come as you are and bring a backpack!
P.S. We’re still collecting clear backpacks to give to local students. Pick one up this week and drop it off soon.
